Blog Reflection #3

Well I have to admit that I use wikipedia on a regular basis, I use it when I want to know more information about something or research. A small percentage of facts on wikipedia are false, well it makes sense because anybody can edit on wikipedia and sometimes some false information can slip between the cracks. I do need to break this bad habit because I probably read some of the false information and that is not good when I am using this information for a report.

I need to use books more than the internet for research, and othres need to do the same. I mostly use wikipedia and other online references because I am lazy. The internet seems so easy to search than searching through a book. I need to study and do my research at a library and read more books.

I'm a repeat offender/Wikipedia user as well. It's just so easy to use! I did eventually find out about the fact that anyone can post what they want on it, so it's not very credible.

Hey, thanks for relaying this message. I didnt know that wikipedia wasnt that creditable! I mostly didnt know that anyone could add info to it. Wow! thats amazing. Thanks for the heads up. Just like I wrote on my blog, many people do this because they are lazy, and well, you just proved my point. In a good way, dont worry i have done the same thing too. Thats why I am surprised that the site isnt that credictable.

there may also be some false info in textbooks and ref. books that are published intro print, if the editors are lazy about double-checking stuff? but it's worse when printed things are false, because then they have to print out new editions and that costs money.
